Tessellis Sloe Gin
In this sloe gin-based liqueur, the base is our award-winning Tessellis London Dry Gin. Hand-picked sloe berries have been macerated for weeks for intense flavour. The liqueur is perfect for savouring on long autumn evenings.
Sloe Gin is a gin-based liqueur that has been regulated by the European Union. It was made using gin as the alcohol base and sloe berries. Sloe berries are small, tart plums that appear on the trees in autumn and are best harvested after the first frost. The blackthorn used in the production of our gin, was hand-picked in the Polish Bieszczady Mountains. The minimum concentration by law should be a minimum of 25% alcohol, in our case it is 35%. Sugar is also a compulsory addition, a minimum of 100g per litre of product, and this is the amount in ours.
In the taste of Tessellis Sloe Gin, a resinous aroma from the juniper stands out, surrounded by astringency and sweetness from the fruit. The finish will reveal a delicate aftertaste of roasted almonds. This liqueur tastes great in a glass without accompaniments, but will also work perfectly in cocktails such as the Charlie Chaplin or the Alabama Slammer.
