Tassoni Superfine Tonic
Tassoni Tonica is a fantastic alternative to the classic tonic, and derives its bitterness from the Quassia tree instead of the bark of the quinine tree. Quassia is a South American family of plants. As with the quinine tree, certain chemical constituents in the bark have anti-malarial properties and add bitterness.

Tassoni Tonica also uses natural citron. The varieties of this citrus have an incredibly thick peel, which is primarily the part used (the minimal amount of flesh is dry rather than juicy). The peel is candied, turned into jams and used in medicine. The combination of mild bitterness and citrus provides a unique flavour.
