Bramble

The Bramble is a gin-based cocktail with a fruity blackberry flavour. Simple to make and very tasty, it is definitely recommended to be tried by all lovers of sweet and sour cocktails. Over the years, it has become known as a classic cocktail. It was created in the 1980s.

It tastes delicious at any time of the year, but is probably best drunk at the end of summer, when fresh blackberries can arrive in our glass almost straight from the bush.

Recipe

  • 60ml Tessellis London Dry Gin
  • 30ml fresh lemon juice
  • 15ml sugar syrup
  • 20ml Crème de Mure (blackberry liqueur)

Preparation

Place the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a shaker and shake well with ice.

Strain into a tumbler glass filled with ice cubes. Finally, spread the Crème de Mure over the top. Garnish with freshly picked blackberries. If you have crushed ice, even better. Pour the first 3 ingredients into a glass and fill with crushed ice. Then blackberry liqueur and garnish with fresh fruit. Next to the blackberries, a slice of lemon and a mint leaf also looks beautiful, emphasising the freshness.
